Random Rylan

Looks like Rylan's baby days are over. He's officially a big boy!

Acadia has really gotten into ballet lately. I think she saw Angelina Ballerina on TV one day and just loved it. The YMCA that we go to is also home to the Boston Ballet and they had an open house this past weekend. I took Rylan to a parent/child class while Scott sat outside and watched Acadia dance her heart out...

What's hard to see in these pictures are Acadia's tattoos. She's kind of gotten an obsession with temporary tattoos and has them up and down both arms. I figure she likes them and they're harmless so I let her put on as many as she wants. I don't think all the parents shared my feelings on that one!

Winter Warm Up

It's been pretty warm here the past few days. Like springtime warm. We've been taking advantage of it and heading outdoors. Friday I took the kids to a nearby beach (yes, beach) to run around and let go of some energy. There's a park at this beach so it was perfect. Rylan and Acadia loved it!

Today it's about 60 degrees, but it's supposed to start cooling off. I think we'll have to get out this afternoon before the cold weather hits again!

Late December fun

After we got back from Ohio we had our own Christmas for the kids at home.  Even though they got plenty of presents already, we had to make sure Santa made an extra stop just in case they needed a little more!

While the kids made out really well and were happy about presents, they were even more excited about getting snow.  The day after we got home, we got a good 6 inches and Acadia woke up ready to get out and play in it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

After awhile, Rylan got into it too, but he was definitely skeptical. 

He did manage to make a snow angel all on his own though!

 

 

 

 

Christmas in Ohio 2012

I'm so late posting these. Let's just say life has been busy!

We had a great time in Ohio with Scott's family. Acadia and Rylan had so much fun seeing Grandma and Grandpa Vogel, Nana, and Auntie Sammy! Grandpa's train and piano might have helped! From the time they woke up until bedtime, all they wanted to do was either watch the train or play the piano. We even set up chairs and printed out tickets so they could pretend they were riding the Polar Express. It was really cute and I don't know who had more fun, the grandparents or the kids.

Acadia and Rylan had so much fun they just conked out on the car ride home from the airport. Good sign of a great trip!
