This past Sunday there was an official changing over of the grandparents. Chris's mom flew back to Chicago and my folks took over the reins.We can't thank Mary enough for all her help/support and I have to admit it was hard to see her leave (it wasn't just Chris & Acadia)...but in saying that we can't wait until she returns for a visit.
Before Grandma Mary left she cooked a "Sunday Roast" for our first official family dinner (what a feast). With my parents in town it was great to have a full dining room table.
Before dinner Grandma Vogel got to hold Acadia for the very first time.
After dinner Grandpa Vogel had his turn.....
A lot and a little has happened since the last post. Chris and I are learning more and more about our little girl. One thing I've learned is that even though it is cute when Acadia burps or passes gas....that doesn't mean Daddy's bodily functions are now cute as well. :)
Here are some more pictures that I really like and thought were worth sharing.
Our First Walk
Uncle Kirk & Aunt Krupa Visit
We came through guys!!!!
It was so great seeing them and having Acadia meet two very special people to us. Uncle Kirk and I have some fun plans for Acadia in the years ahead. :)

Future posts won't be so long....here are a couple more pictures. Thanks for all your posts.

The changing of the guard post over the top;
the ocean view wow!
The photos of Acadia, all of you being together...
Everything is unbelievable to say the least. How wonderful that Kirk and Krupa stopped by. Lots of love from Auntie Sammie :)
Oh and I really liked the humour with your line, Scott about your biological functions not being as well received as the Acadia's...too funny. Hugs, kisses and lots of love to everyone! :)
I have a recommendation for a family movie this year, "Coraline" from Tim Burton, the Director of the "Nightmare Before Christmas". " Coraline" is a visually stunning stop- motion animated feature; first to be originally filmed in 3D. It is out now on DVD and I will have to check on availability for Blue Ray. It is a must see for the McEnery-Vogel Crew. :)
