Who knew...

-that a baby could have enough gas to rival her parents

-that an exercise regimen can consist of carrying a baby around all day and pacing the hallway at night

-that it doesn't matter if your jeans fit (hopefully they will one day)

-that a tired baby might not sleep

-that a tired daddy sleeps through it all

-that a tired mama hears every stir, squeal, and hiccup

-that a cup of coffee can make you feel human again

-that you can go all day and never talk in a grown up voice

-that a clean diaper doesn't stay clean for very long

-that after 9 months, one glass of wine can give you a hangover

-that a 30 second shower can be a luxury

-that washing your hair is even more of one

-that a good night's sleep consists of a lot of it being spent on the couch

-that there would be a whole new vocabulary in our world (baba, diapey, and mimi to name a few)

-that there was so much to say about poop

-that it doesn't matter how you look walking out of the house, as long as your child looks good

-that a little smile from your daughter can make all the difference

-that even after being a mom yourself, sometimes you just need your mom

-that life could be this good

Two months down...a lifetime to go!

Cried. So true - to all of it:) That's why they call it motherhood - it's a whole experience onto itself:)

my mom told me you're gonna be in for christmas and i cant wait to see you guys!!!! and i also decided that acadia needs to start early on the downtown christmas shopping/eating tradition! so we'll bundle her up and put her in a comfy stroller, and then we'll let the festivities begin(maybe we can have double the potato pancakes since you had to miss them the last few years)

True, True, True! I especially relate to the jeans not fitting comment as well as that it does not matter what you look like as long as your kid looks good. I have to say, ours certainly do! Can't wait to see you guys and meet Acadia. Oh, and I LOVE your place, too!
